My Motherhood Experience and the Discovery of Babywearing
I am a midwife and a mother of four children (born in 2008, 2011, 2015, and 2018).
I first practiced babywearing on a doll while I was still a student midwife. Yet it was with the arrival of my firstborn, who had a great need for contact, that I truly put the theory into practice and fully experienced the benefits of this practice. With him, I discovered the immense joy of carrying and realised how much it eases the daily routine. As he grew and gained autonomy, babywearing remained a highly valuable asset. The different wrapping techniques and carrier models constantly evolved, opening up new possibilities. However, carrying an energetic child on my back was initially a real challenge. Faced with the need to adapt my practice to his growth, I searched for solutions online. This is how I discovered the existence of babywearing consultants, and I immediately felt the desire to learn more in order to pass on this essential knowledge to other parents.
My Professional Journey
In 2011, I turned this desire into a reality by becoming a babywearing consultant (following training provided by the Clauwi Babywearing School in Germany). After the birth of my second child, I began offering babywearing consultations as an independent practitioner.
From 2017 to late 2025, I worked as a midwife and babywearing consultant at "Initiativ Liewensufank". I also offered breastfeeding consultations, advice on cloth nappies (or reusable nappies), and I answered questions and concerns from (future) parents via the "Babyhotline". To complement this, I also gave birth preparation classes and babywearing workshops.
My Commitment to You
Today, I am a self-employed midwife and I can offer you support based on all the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years. Babywearing consultations are naturally an integral part of this comprehensive approach. My greatest joy is to welcome you and help you build a calm and confident parenthood, step by step. I am here to guide you towards the path that suits you best.
